Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Branch County Released Inmates does not keep or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms apply to its processing.
If you send an email or contact message, the supplied address and message content may be retained long enough to respond and manage the exchange. Such messages are not shared beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Details
Routine web logs and analytics may collect limited information when a page loads:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring page, when available
- Date and time stamps
Cookies help measure use and support site features. You can block or clear them through browser controls, though parts of the site or an outside tool may then work differently.
Purposes for Data Use
Collected technical data may be used to operate and speed up the site, send a search to the selected partner, understand which pages help readers, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and display advertising that may reflect visitor interests. Personal information is not used to alter an official Branch County, MDOC, court, BOP, or ICE record.
Other Sites and Advertising
Links lead to Branch County release-record pages, Sheriff and corrections resources, court portals, federal locators, legal sources, and private search services. Once a visitor follows a link, that destination’s privacy policy governs its collection and use.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs through the partner’s systems and controls, not an official Branch County record system.
Parties That May Receive Data
Branch County Released Inmates does not sell personal data. Information may be processed by search partners handling a query, analytics providers measuring traffic, advertising networks delivering ads, and government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal demand.
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard administrative and technical safeguards are used where appropriate. No internet-connected service can promise perfect security, however. Transmission and storage always carry some risk, and this notice does not claim that a breach is impossible.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal data from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted personal information, use the Contact Us page to request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a user may ask for a copy of personal data held by the site, request correction, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. Browser settings can also limit cookies. These choices do not control information held by Branch County, MDOC, a court, or another linked agency.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as services and legal duties change. An updated version takes effect when posted here with its new effective information.
